Fundamentals of Employee Benefits Law--2003

This annual course of study aims to familiarize non-specialists, and those who would be specialists, with the basic laws and regulations governing employee pension and welfare benefit plans. The course provides the means for lawyers, accountants, actuaries, and consultants to gain a basic knowledge of the rules that apply to both qualified and nonqualified plans covered by the Employee Retirement Income and Security Act of 1974 (ERISA). The course fully discusses and incorporates changes resulting from the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 (EGTRRA), as well as any subsequent legislation affecting plans.
