South Carolina

MCLE Requirements 14 credits per reporting year including 2 credits in legal ethics/professional responsibility. Additionally, once every 3 reporting periods, 1 credit in substance abuse or mental health issues.

Compliance Date: Attorneys must earn the required credit amount by the last day of February of that reporting year. The SC reporting year runs from March 1 to the successive last day of February.

Reporting Deadline: Attorneys must certify completion of the required MCLE credits for the preceding year on or before March 1 (start of the new reporting year).

In-House Programs Yes; must have a minimum of 5 attorneys, maximum ½ total required credits per compliance period may be earned in this format; no credit for client seminars; government programs exempted from above requirements
