MCLE Requirements 24 credits per 2-year reporting period, including 4 credits in legal ethics/professionalism.

Reporting Date: NY rules require attorneys to earn the required credit amounts in 2-year reporting cycles—attorneys admitted to the bar before 1982 or in even-numbered years report in even-numbered years, and attorneys admitted after 1982 or in odd-numbered years report in odd-numbered years. Attorneys must earn the required credit amount within 30 days of their birthday in the appropriately numbered year (even or odd).

Special Notes Attorneys newly admitted to the New York Bar are required to obtain 32 transitional credits in the first 2-year period including 3 credits in ethics/professionalism, 6 credits in professional skills, and 7 credits in practice management or areas of professional practice. Please note that ALI CLE LIVE telephone seminars and webcasts are eligible for transitional credits as of 1/1/2016. However, some telephone and webcast courses are pre-recorded and are not eligible for transitional credit; please ensure the course is live, real-time if expecting to receive transitional credits. All ALI CLE live, faculty in-room courses are eligible for transitional credit. Please contact regarding credit for specific courses.
