Minnesota

MCLE Requirements 45 credits per 3-year reporting period including 3 credits in legal ethics and 2 credits in elimination of bias.

Compliance Date: Attorneys must earn required credit amount by June 30 of assigned 3-year reporting period.

Reporting Deadline: Attorneys must certify completion of the required MCLE credits by August 30 of assigned 3-year reporting period.

Minnesota attorneys are assigned to one of three Categories, each with a unique 3-year reporting period on an alternating reporting cycle. For more information on reporting periods and compliance Categories, please see the MN Board of CLE website.

Telephone Seminars Method not approved by Minnesota State Board
Video Broadcast Replays Pre-recorded webcasts are approved by Minnesota on a course-by-course basis.
CD-ROM Method not approved by Minnesota State Board
Self Study Method not approved by Minnesota State Board
In-House Programs Yes; must be open to official observers and minimum of 5 participants, including instructor. Minnesota Bar members may obtain amaximum of 5 credits per compliance period in this format
