MCLE Requirements 24 hours including 4 ethics/professional responsibility hours during the two-year period ending June 30 of either 2010 or 2011; 30 hours during all subsequent two-year periods; minimum of 6 ethics/professional responsibility credits per compliance period beginning with compliance periods ending in 2012 or 2013.
Beginning 2017-2019 and 2018-2020 reporting periods, 1 credit of diversity and inclusion & 1 credit of mental health and substance abuse must be part of the 6 hours of professional responsibility.

In-House Programs No credit for discussions related to the handling of specific cases or issues relating to management of law firm, corporate law department, governmental agency or similar entity.
Reporting Illinois is a self-reporting jurisdiction which means Illinois attorneys maintain their own records of MCLE compliance. Rule 796(f)(1). Attorneys are to maintain attendance certificates for 3 years after the relevant reporting period ends.
